John Paul Gachina

in loving memory

On December 27, 2015 the landscape industry lost one of its pioneering icons. Gachina Landscape Management lost its leader and an amazing human being. John truly enriched the life of everyone and everything he touched. No words can adequately express our sadness of John’s death or the gratitude for his friendship and the opportunity to work along side of him. He leaves behind a strong company and organization of passionate employees that will honor his memory by dedicating themselves to continue the work and service he loved so much. He is missed and remains in our hearts; never to be forgotten. John founded Gachina Landscape in 1988 after a year-long world-round tour. What he accomplished in his short life was remarkable.

Gachina Landscape Management will remain a family-owned business under the continued leadership of the Gachina Landscape Management leadership team.

Gachina Landscape Management

#mondaymotivation
On Saturday our Irrigation Team: Juan Perez, Elmer Pena, Pedro Leal, Herminio Deras, Walter Lima & Gerardo Martinez all volunteered their time to install a new irrigation system for a school garden at a Peninsula Family Connections School in Redwood City. Together with Each Green Corner (a non-profit that installs community and school gardens throughout Bay Area neighborhoods) they worked to install garden beds and drip irrigation.
The Gachina Team of irrigation techs helped install drip irrigation for 3 raised vegetable beds, new irrigation for existing beds as well as strawberry and herb tubes. The project was a huge success and we appreciate the dedication and commitment from our employees in giving back to our local communities. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who assisted with this project, the kids will be thrilled to enjoy this new garden area.
These acts of kindness are what make Gachina a special place to work!
