Top Minority and Women-Owned Lists by the San Francisco Business Times
Gachina Landscape Management ranks #19 on the Top Women-Owned companies in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times. The annual List ranks privately-held, women-owned businesses headquartered in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco and San Mateo counties, and the city of Palo Alto, by 2015 revenue. To qualify, List companies must be 51 percent or more women-owned. Overall, women-owned businesses on the List contributed more than $4 billion to the local economy last year and employ more than 60,000 people.
Gachina also ranked #7 on the Top Minority-Owned companies in the Bay Area by the SF Business Times. The Bay Area is not only diverse in its demographics, but also in its businesses. The list ranks the top 25 Bay Area minority-owned companies by fiscal year 2015 revenue as well.
Jaclyn Gachina-Ishimaru is sole owner, President and co-founder of Gachina Landscape Management. She assumed the responsibilities of President and CEO whe
n her husband John, co-founder, passed December 27, 2015. This “humble gardening company” grew from three people to over 370 employees in 28 years. Jaclyn actively oversees the day-to-day operations of the company. She earned a BA from SF State University in American Literature. Her resume includes Corporate Buyer, Macy’s California; Corporate Executive Recruiter, Bernal Associates for the Silicon Valley/SF Bay Area technology sector; and residential property management and interior design.
