Movember Movement

movember health awareness month 2018Have you heard of Movember? John and I became supporters after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2000.

November 1 is the kickoff for the annual Movember campaign to raise awareness for cancer research and men’s overall health. Gachina employees have participated in Movember for the past three years. Roughly 96% of Gachina employees are male. Employees are encouraged to schedule their wellness visits. My hope is that we educate all members of the Gachina family and catch the disease in its earliest/treatable stage. Please join me in the fighting; education is just the start. You can join Team Gachina and show your support by making a donation here. We hope to raise $1,000. Last year we raised $610 added a company match and personal contribution. Team Gachina raised a grand total of $2,292.Movember mo's - don't shave in November, fight cancer in men

Gachina employees will participate in a No-Shave November to show their support. This is a month-long journey to evoke conversation and raise cancer awareness. Employees will be growing mustaches or beards. There will be a contest for fullest, longest & strangest mustache or beard. Winners will be judged and announced at our company holiday party 12/18. If you would like to join our quest, please sign up here.

Mo sista - Movember is not just for men's cancer awareness! And you don’t have to be a man to participate. Women can help raise cancer awareness and support their own Movember by being a Mo Sista.  Sign up and help fund raise. Whatever works for you to join the fight.

Giveaways such as wristbands, tattoos, & mustaches will be provided to show our support of men’s health awareness.

Thank you for your time and consideration, please help us fight. We hope you join us in our quest to raise awareness for cancer research and overall men’s health.
