It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our beloved leader, husband and father John Gachina. John passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday December 27th and was surrounded by his loving family and the love of the Gachina Landscape Family. We will miss John’s passion for life and his energy. At this difficult time our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
This weekend the landscape industry lost one of its pioneering icons. Gachina Landscape Management lost a leader and an amazing human being. John truly enriched the lives of everyone and everything he touched. There are no words that can adequately express our sadness of John’s death or the gratitude for his friendship and the opportunity to work along side of him. He leaves behind a strong company and organization of passionate employees that will honor his memory by dedicating themselves to continue the work and service he loved so much. He will be missed and remain in our hearts; never to be forgotten.
We are planning two special Celebration of Life Services to honor the passionate life of John Gachina. The Gachina Landscape Management family will have a private service for employees and their families. Gachina team members will receive an invitation through their supervisor.
A Celebration of Life service for industry, community, clients, and family friends will be held on Saturday, January 30th at 6 pm, we welcome you to join us at 5pm. The service will be held at Napredak Hall, a special place for the family (located at 770 Montague Expressway, San Jose 95131). The Gachina Family has been blessed with positive messages about John’s contribution to the industry and community, thank you. We are expecting to have full attendance and space is limited. We appreciate your help to adequately plan for John’s celebration. Please click here to RSVP by January 22nd. Thank you for joining the Gachina Family to celebrate the life of their beloved John.
The family would prefer, in lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of John may be made to JobTrain or through CLCA. As an honorary lifetime member of CLCA, a LEAF-Legacy scholarship is being established in John’s honor. To contribute to this scholarship, mail donations to: California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA)1491 River Park Drive, Suite 100, Sacramento, CA 95815 and write in the memo – “in honor of John Gachina”. To learn more about the LEAF scholarship program here. Both organizations support John’s legacy.
Gachina Landscape Management will remain a family-owned business under the continued leadership of Craig Van Dorp and the Gachina Management team. Communications about John’s Celebration of Life service will be forthcoming. Once plans have been finalized the information will be available at www.gachina.com and ourFacebook page.
