Participate in spare the air days by joining more than 50 cities in the Bay Area Spare the Air program!
Spare the Air; going into its 10th year, this voluntary air pollution reduction program is sponsored by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District. On days when ozone (smog) levels are expected to violate state and federal health standards and in association with participating clients, we will we will refrain from using power equipment on designated Spare the Air days.
Blowing activities will be substituted with raking and sweeping activities
Mowing or trimming activities will be rescheduled
Employees and customers are asked to refrain from activities that cause pollution
Employ state of the art products and techniques to conserve the greatest amount of water possible when managing or upgrading water irrigation systems.
Partner with customers to become LEED certified.
Bay Friendly landscape practices.
Recycle green waste that helps conserve landfill space. Landscape practices such as mulch mowing that returns nitrogen and other nutrients to the soil. Reduce fertilizer use and runoff to preserve natural resources.
